Don't dude.. Bikes are like heroin... You know you're stuck but you don't want anyone you know or care about starting to ride. I can't think of anything more dangerous in life than riding.. That sudden sense of mortality is what drove me to start looking at cars. (No pun)

You're probably right--but I'm too old for all of that 140 MPH crap...

GT3 is certainly the safer route for sure.

Do you ride already? Just thought I'd ask as this is NOT a beginners bike and should come with a warning sign!!

Na...a buddy of mine is SUPER serious about it...and has one on order. If I got something it would be a 'beginner' 899.

I've had various flavors for 10 years on and off but the Ducati is tempting, ableit the 899...don't worry

The 899 is still a beast of a bike as well but far more more accessible than its big brother. Maybe a little like a comparison between a GT 3 & 4.

hahaha, he was beng nice Check out the new Multistrada while you are there. Not sure if it is availabe yet. Great bike and much more comfortable. I just sold my 2012 Pikes Peak Multistrada and got a 15 R1200 BMW GSA loaded with all goodies including shift assist and cruise control and ready to go to Canada in July

You sold a multi for a gs? I find that while the gs was really too heavy for anything useful with my 5.10 frame especially anything dirt related which ostensibly is its mission (rode it all over Southern Europe)... The multi is like a super bike with hand warmers.. I could ride that across continents and on twisties.

Dont remind me Alex. I miss the Multi ride to work and most likely will get the 15 Multi but not the STD color's. Multi on HWY on long rides not so comfy. GSA although heavy but so comfy on long rides. Try it.

I have ball(s) but unfortunately they don't have their own attachments. I've been thinking of going to see the TT for a long time.. Maybe this summer.

Did you try the KTM Adventure? It seems to be pushing ino the MS and GSA arena and the new Bosch traction control unit seems to be leading the pack right now. I was going to get one to replace my Triumph Tiger for my commute work but changed direction and got an S1000R instead. That's a fun bike!!

Jonathan - the ONLY reason that the Aprilla rider was next to you during your run was because he wanted to listen to your exhaust. Can't blame him for that...

My Wife will not let me get a motorcycle. Used to race dirt bikes when I was younger. These rockets are nuts and very dangerous. I have a 5 year old Son I want to see grow in to a man
