Default Personal Invitation to 911 GT3 Coustomers - Heard Anything?

Has anyone heard anything from Mr. Andre Oosthiozen since we received his letter on Dec 22, 2014?

Nothing yet. Was expecting by end of January, but that's come and gone.

The wishful thinking in my mind (purely fantasy!) is that they decided to wait until the RS is unveiled, then surprise us with event details including a hot lap in the RS in Atlanta.

Like I said, wishful thinking.

You guys were invited to the Porsche Experience Center @ Atlanta correct? Forgot the contents of the letter. That PEC won't open until May 2015 I believe. After they figure out all the logistics and have everything in place, I'm sure PCNA will keep their promise.

I was told today by Porsche Customer Commitment that formal invitations will be mailed at the end of February for the Atlanta event. Check your mailbox.

No, it will be physically mailed- not email. That's what I was told anyway.

Did anyone get anything from Porsche on this? Their letter stated we'd hear from them in January, now it's March. I am also concerned the date they pick will be the Smokies run. What a shame that would be!

My understanding is the new track in Atlanta will not be open until sometime in April. When you consider that approximately 600 GT3 owners were affected it may be awhile before they get around to all of us. If you assume 300 will accept the invitation and each class size about 10-12 (unless we share cars then figure 20 students) it will be months for many of us.

Probably Porsche will strictly adhere to a priority list as they did with the engine replacements. The early owners first.

As an example, my car was stuck at the San Diego port in March which is about 10 miles from my home. My engine was replaced on June 26th but Porsche did not delivery my car until the middle of August which cost them close to $4000 in additional compensation to me. Nevertheless, they wanted to make sure I did not get my car before those who had taken delivery before me at the stop sale.

You may be correct about all of this, Nick. But even if the center doesn't open until April or May you'd think that the first group of owners should have heard something by now. Either the first sessions are still much further out or Porsche is risking not giving people enough lead time to fit them into their schedules.

They are waiting to get some RS cars for us to sample

I am making that up but I bet we will get a chance to drive it - now that would be special

I talked to PCNA in Atlanta late last week and they told me this was happening but had been delayed. They confirmed my name was on the list and that I would receive an invitation in March.
