There is some truth that if PTS was easily available many of us would of gone that route.
I do like all the colors though in this car.
White has some historical significance plus it is fun and easier to dress it up. I am going to do some fun vinyl stripes this Spring and White is the perfect canvas

'White' vs 'Silver'...
The 'Silver' Ryan is talking about dates to the thirties...and the era of the 'Silberpfeil' - or 'Silver Arrows'. According to the legend, the 'Mercedes-Benz team placed its new Mercedes-Benz W25 on the scrutineering scales prior to the Eifelrennen at the Nürburgring, it allegedly recorded 751 kg (1,656 lb). Racing manager Alfred Neubauer and his driver Manfred von Brauchitsch, who both later published their memoirs, claimed that they had the idea of removing all the white paint from the bodywork. The story continues that the next day the shining silver aluminium beneath was exposed and scrutineering was passed. After the 350 hp (260 kW) car of Von Brauchitsch won the race, the nickname Silver Arrow was born, according to this version.' So 'Silver', or the color of shinny aluminum, was adopted during that period as the Third Reich's official racing color!
To this day, Germany appears to be the only country that claims two racing colors! However, most historians give 'White' precedent over 'Silver' as the true historic & 'official' racing color of the Fatherland!

Easy answer that no one else has/will mention...
All the available colors are standard and unimaginative. Thus "Racing White" is the defacto choice. This is what I did when I ordered my GT3 even though I am not in love with white.
Give us Voodoo/Riviera/Mexico Blue, Orange, Green, etc. and I think we would see a very different color distribution.

It's practical -- white is an easy color to keep clean. White is easy to match should repairs be necessary. White accentuates the styling, particularly the front cutouts, and offers contrast with other design cues. White is a safe color for resale, as it's neutral (good luck selling a polarizing color). White also stays cool in warmer climates. And yeah, white IS Porsche's racing color.

I bought my GT3 in white because years ago Porsche sent me an email with a picture of one that was white and I swear my heart skipped a beat. And my DD is a black 911 Turbo.

First non dark in color sports car, and I fell in love with CWM looks great in person. Not a fan of plain white offense, and the car shows the lines better on lighter colors IMO.
Don't buy into the faster stuff, or what will sell faster but rather I like the color.
