Puzzling why the extended tank wasn't optioned. Otherwise a nice build.

As we all know, when we talk GT3's, we look at where is it possible to reduce weight? I believe the main reason PAG offered two different size gas tanks is strictly for a weight savings. If you compare the two, there is a 37 litre difference, when both filled. One U.S. gallon is 3.78 litres so that's approximately 10 gallons difference. Each gallon weighs roughly 6 lbs, which is a total savings of 60 lbs. So with many owner's taking there car on the track, that 60 extra pounds of weight, requires more power to be used from the engine. If you add all the other areas in which you can save weight, it all adds up. Now, I have no idea how much h.p. is lost carrying those extra 60 lbs, but that's my .02.
^^ BUT if you only fill it up with the amount of gas you need on track, then incrementally almost no weigh gain, plus the value add of extended range off track.
The extended tank certainly wouldn't have deterred me from buying. I don't mind getting gas. My M3 gets about 220 miles per tank and doesn't bother me any. The thing that would bother me on this car would be all that red. As much as I love red: red seat belts, stitching, calipers, gauges, paint. Yikes!
Nice looking car. Mine has the tank but it would not keep me from buying the car. Someone probably ordered this and then passed. A dealer ordered car would have the tank.
Have seen several 'available' units without. For me that's a must have.
Fuel tank has nothing to do with it....its only been available for 1 day. Guy who ordered it backed out...and is now its "available". I was there yesterday and they already had a potential buyer. It wont sit very long.
