OT: Mercedes AMG GT S
Well, I was at the Mercedes dealership this morning & they had one of the new AMG GT's there showing the sales staff & tech. I got to take some pics & sit in the cockpit! Pretty cool car!!

I've had the chance to drive it on the street and the track and it is a fun car:
It loves to kick out the rear and has ample power and the steering is great. It really does not feel like a turbo engine as there is very little to no noticeable lag. My issue with the car is that it is a bit of a GT than a pure sports car than say a GT3. But, they are working on GT3 and Black Series variants of the AMG GT.
Here are some pics from the AMG event I attended:

What's with the ugly "bumperettes" in the rear?
The car isn't the most attractive overall.
You could land a plane on that airstrip hood.
Weird iPad looking display looks like it was just thrown on the dash at the last minute too.

^^^ The S model will precede the non-S model. The non-S model won't make it stateside until late in the year, possibly as a 2016 MY...
This is a very nice car. I like it better than the OTT AMG SL Gullwing the GT-S replaces... You gotta love the abundant torque.

Nice. Which dealer was this, if you don't mind me asking? Is the car still on display?

Saw the car at the LA auto show, both variants. I bit too contrived looking and too big...I already had a 928, nice car but not a 911. Not needing an updated version of the 928.
