Where do you get your oil? I get 10 quarts at Walmart for $50, filter for $15.

Porsche filter is $50. Didn't have a chance to look at mobile 1 prices so just picked it up at local car parts store. Not sure I would get an off brand oil filter.

I got charger $15 at the dealer. Must have been a mistake. I see that most places charge $50, but they are including drain plugs and gaskets with that price. Paragon has them for just over $30:

No Go on the Fram filter but Walmart sells 0W40 for $25 for a 5 quart jug!

Yes on the oil, my filter was Porsche OEM. Must have been a mistake though given the prices I see online.

It helps if the tubing has a slight curve on the end. I put about 2 ft. down the fill opening. I'll get an accurate measurement later and post it. It helps if you are rotating the tube while snaking it into the hole. Just a little light pressure is all you need. You will feel it when it goes past the kink. It worked the same way on my 10 GT3. You can get tubing in varying levels of stiffness. What I was using was in the mid level. A thin wall tube will jus fold over and not go in. A heavy stiff wall tube won't be able to make the transition past the kink even while rotating.

Drove 25 miles each way for the oil change this AM. Tech Put's the car on the lift and decides to make sure they have the oil filter on hand before he does anything and guess what? uurrrrr No oil filter in stock

GM comes up and tells me I am invited for a privet track day June 19th at Laguna Seca so the day was not totally wasted.

If you are going in for an oil change, call parts to make sure they have your oil filter available and save yourself a trip. I have never had such a case.

Order a couple of filters and seals. When I had my oil changed I took the filter with me. It might have helped that I purchased it from the dealer's parts department.

Yep, that was my plan when I go back next Saturday. I will stock up couple filters. Oil is available everywhere.

New data point. Received yellow warning oil at minimum level. Current odo 7500 miles, as thread indicated, oil change took place after break-in. One track day took place thereafter.

Filled approximately 100ml. Yellow is gone, I'll check it out again tomorrow to see if it's still off or if that little addition gives me the dreaded overfill.

Still seem to have plenty of tread left on MPSC2s and I'm pleased with that!

So far no problem with the small addition of oil. Surprised just a 100 ml or about 1/10 of a quart made the difference between an idiot light and smooth sailing.

Alan, could you update us what happened with the sample for analysis? Did it have any more metal particles than normal?

Just had my 1st change at 1800mi - was going to do it myself but ended up needing the thermostat replaced so figured what the heck. Dealer charged $189, not bad! I had them save me a sample so I could send off for analysis
