How long do you plan to keep your 991 GT3?
I'm interested to know how long you plan to keep your 991 GT3 that you bought new? I tend to keep cars for a long time, but I get a sense that many here "flip" cars every 2-3 years.
Would love to see the poll results and maybe some of you can share your thoughts on why too.

I think you need add an "Undecided" button for the poll.
I had planned to keep mine until my RS comes. But, now I'm not sure. Maybe I'll keep it when the RS comes. It's a blast to drive.

My favorite car before this was my '84 3.2 Carrera and I kept it for 13 years. I won't even be thinking about a replacement sooner than 5 years, and probably more like 10. By then, it's hard to say what the choices will look like. I really do think we're entering the end of an era for NA ICE's. If true, it's more likely that I will someday add to the stable rather than ever get rid of this car.

Couple of years would break my record of any car I've owned by 100%...we'll see.
Buying 4 to 5 cars a year, I'm hoping this one will help break that to a certain degree.
RS is NOT a DD according most experts here, and I don't want a track only car, therefore GT3 is going to be perfect blend--I hope.

This is the million dollar question for me: This is my forth car since 2007. As much as I always say I am going to keep it for the long time; I tend to always give in to the temptation for some thing new/different that I fancy. I would like to see the RS specs/reviews ect because it may be an interesting choice for me. But, if the GT4 comes with a minimum 400 hp NA, a Manual, and can PTS then this may be a great choice for me. I do really think the Cayman is a prettier and more sculpted car than the 911. I love how the rear haunches flow towards the back of the car. I ordered one in 2007 and it was my first Porsche.
But - if this may be the end of NA engines for Porsche it would be very difficult to give up a 9000 rpm beast

We've had our 73 911, 30 yrs. our 911 track car, 25 yrs. our 05 GT3, 10 yrs. we kept our 03 Boxter 10 years, replacing it with a Cayman. We'll see with the new GT3, but we tend to keep our cars. Gled

I think the GT3 991 is a an unusual car that should be a long term keeper for many.
The spilt personality of modes between easy driving with the PDK in automatic, tolerable suspension (considering its a track car) and the aggressive nature in sport make the car versatile for various driving occasions. Could do a nice drive to the wine country with the wife and track the following.
From the sound of the chatter, the new GT3 RS will be a hand full for road use and mostly track purposes only. So rule out road driving with the RS.
Who would need a better car than the GT3. So, I say its a long term keeper

To me it looks like a keeper. Granted I tend to keep cars for longer periods. That said however the GT3 is maybe the best fun/track/DD I have ever owned.

This is my last sports car, so it has to be a keeper.
I have a daily driver that will need replacing in 3 to five years. Bought two expensive cars last year and am car poor.

Assuming it will be a quality built car with minimal issue's [I hate car problems, rather just replace], and if it's the last NA, mine will be a keeper.

I usually change my sports/fun car within 2-3 years , but this car is a different subject . I am probably going to keep this car as long as possible , unless a better NA engine GT3 or GT2 comes out .

Well … since 2010, I've been through…..
2 Audi R8's (V8 & V10)
Lamborgini Gallardo
Ferrari Scuderia
McLaren MP4-12C
And my current 458 Italia.
The Italia having kept the longest at a paltry 13 months.
Have a GT3 on order with a late March arrival. Only taking delivery if 458 sells.
Otherwise I have no idea how long I'd keep the GT3. Hopefully at least 2 years or longer.
