This is perhaps signs of a company now making so many varieties and numbers of vehicles, that QC is not up to par???? It makes me wonder if the con-rod bolt issue was also an issue of QC, say the torque was set wrong (old torque number), and the failure was not due to a part problem, but an assembly problem.

The supplier of the panel has the responsibility for correctly making and identifying the part. I'd be curious to know if the panels with the missing switch have the correct part coding. Once one of these made it into the system with a claim someone should have done a lot trace to determine the root cause and what may have been in the pipeline.
If you use 1000 cars as a base for production the ppm for 2 incorrect units would be 2000. Small lots result in huge ppm numbers.

Dealer in Dubai is taking my car on Monday to check if the wiring is there and then they would order the console just the buttons . I believe some wires are not connected , because when I press the suspension button ( which should be the sports bu tton ) I get a confirmation that sports suspension set ....
