The ferrari is definitly more fun at legal speed limit ,the downshifts are amazing, the front is planted and the rear loves play tag.

The new gt3 is amazing (i might be a lil biased ofcoarse since i dont own a 458) but the fun start above 5-6k rpm.keep it there and it really feels like a race car on the road, there is really no perceptable understeer (unlike 997.2 gt3) on the street infact my car is somehow setup from factory to oversteer even on high speed corners.

Anyways I would say for once a week use definitely get the 458.

I have the option to buy n keep any 1 car be it 458,gt3,speciale,12c,etc.
But I cannot think of a single car which has combined qualities of the 991 gt3 (shift lever with correct + -,price,cabin space, exhaust note,9k rpm, practicality, dosnt lean in corners, weight, chassis stiffness, track ready etc) and thats why i keep it to enjoy it more than once or twice a week.

IMO while a 458 could be a DD as much as any 2 seater it's at its best as a toy. Driving it is like eating desert occasionally.

If you want a DD sports car buy a 911.

I have a bunch of other stuff too. My choice for DD 911 is my turbo not the GT3 as good as it is. I would probably rather have a C2S as a DD before the GT3 as well.

Just my opinion having owned all of the above.

I have both currently and I lean to driving my GT3 more often. The F car is faster and sounds even better with the catless Capristo but I feel more comfortable with the GT3 doing normal daily things. The GT3 and the Ferrari, for me, are both keepers but if it was a financial thing and I needed a more practical car then I would go the GT3 route. I currently also have an RS7, C63 Black Series, and a V10 R8, so the both would remain but if I could only have 2 cars, its the GT3 and the RS7.

I guess its time to drive the 458 more this week; I have been driving the GT3 the most.
Vic,

If you need help putting some miles on the 458, let me know. I'd be more than happy to help you with your problem..
