What are the specs on your car, do you have a lot of miles. Giving you what on your trade exactly? The only good thing is that the GT3 should hold value better than your current 991, which will continue a pretty decent decline.

I misspoke on my original post...the sales tax is not included & is above the difference. In essence they are giving me $80 & MSRP on their car (-36%
of my orig MSRP).
I purchased this car before the GT3 was available. Car was delivered to me Jan 2013.
16K miles, clean Carfax.

Only if you have driven one or rode in one and you instantly fell in love with it. I was contemplating it but the delta was about 50k to do so and that's not a hit I want to take for 75 horses. I don't track the car so that weighed into my decision as well. I decided to use that 50k toward cayman gt4 coming out next year and have both cars

One thing is apparent....many (not all) of new GT3 owners never spent much, if any, time with the 991 chassis configuration. When the raves & applause comes out for the 991 GT3 handling, they are comparing to old or no Porsche engineering. My understanding is the 991 chassis is far advanced from the 5 year old 997 & its newer versions up to early 2012.
I owned a 996 so no explanation required
Not trying to rationalize the merits of a plain old 991S, but maybe the gain is not worth the $$$ to move up for me.

First 911 was 993. Kept 7 years. NEVER should have sold it. Especially for what I sold it for. Currently have 991C2S 7MT, sunroof delete. Absolutely love it. Addicted, actually. GT3 coming mid January. Hoping it takes the addiction to another level.

First Porsche was a 991S, and I owned it for 18 months. Had the opportunity to take advantage of a GT3 slot, and since I loved the S I knew the GT3 was a good opportunity to own something special.

5th 911 for me. 996 to 997.1 to 997.2 to 991. All S Cabs. Took a big hit on all trade-ups, but loved every step up in the model year updates. Put a deposit on a GT3 and I am going take a big loss trading in my 991 S Cab for the GT3. Hoping to minimize the big annual hits with the GT3...

A bunch of 911's (6 I think) including a 997.2 GT3.
As you know HH, I had a 991S and now 991 GT3.
Purely from a financial angle, although the initial buy-in is greater, the depreciation on a 991 GT3 is going to be less and at a slower pace than if you were to go with modding the 991 S.
If you've been smitten with the GT3 bug, nothing you do to the S will satisfy your lust for one!
