My guy Will gave her it's very first bath yesterday. When I left, and was going about 50 MPH this wave of water gushed out of the front exhaust screen and onto the hood and windshield.

Any way for that water to drain while you are washing? Any other tips?

Can you use a small gas powered leaf blower close to the area you're talking about? That might work to get most of the water out. Worth a try.

So if I use a blower, I would blow into the front screens and it would shoot out the top? I'm thinking a lot of the water would just drain back into the top screen.

Don't use gas. Use a high flow electric one.

I know members have reported using a gas unit with no ill effects, but why take the change of any 2 cycle oil or other engine byproducts getting blown all over your ride.

I use a Toro electric from the local hardware store.

I use an E-Go electric from Home Depot. 480 CFM--highest volume of airflow in an electric, I believe.

You're detailing a car, not blowing leaves! This thing is very focused and gets in all the small crevices (unlike a leaf blower). Who wants a huge leaf blower blowing dirt back onto your car??

I've never had issues with popping a breaker.

That thing is so powerful, I usually use it at half its output most of the time.

Geez, what kind of leaf blower do you guys use that blows 2 cycle exhaust gas along with the air output?

My gas engine blower spins an impeller that blows clean air; not oil, dirt, or what have you. Starts easy, works great, no need to uncoil an extension cord and drag it around. It would be nice to have that $350 tool also, I suppose, but not necessary. Now a Spotless water deionizer, that's necessary! Carry on....
