It's not so much the noise of the blower (not much different than a shop vac IMO) as it is the air hitting parts of the car and making noises. Some can be pretty loud, much louder than the machine itself.

Exactly. Quieter than a shop vac and leaf blower!

When the forceful air hits certain spots like mirrors and some trim pieces the air flow can make some higher pitch sounds. But boy, the water is gone. Works well around the window trim, head/tail lights, grills, mirrors, and even getting water off body panels. With a good coating or wax, you'll barely need to dry the car.

Note: You still should wear ear protection. This is a good one - 3M Peltor H10A Optime 105 Earmuff

That's not a bad idea. I don't like the Master Blaster because I hate dragging the thing around and getting out an extension cord. I've been using a gas leaf blower since about 2002. If you did get some oil on the paint, maybe just wipe it off? It's not brake fluid.

In response to the original post, mine shoots water all over the windshield after a wash any time I hit about 70 mph. Even after the car has sat overnight. It is annoying.

I always wear ear protection anyway. Too much hearing loss already from the track, power tools, rock concerts, and other noisy activities from my misguided youth.

BTW, the only guys with Master/Air Force/What-Have-You Blasters that I'm willing to take leaf blower guff from, are those who also own a Spotless or similar water deionizer. If you're using regular hose water, all the Blasters in the world won't make up the difference.

Have both - CR Spotless and MasterBlaster. Need the CR with the hard water in NJ. Not sure what guff we should give you.

Who's looking at the top pic when you can look at the bottom pic? Ok, I'm bad, but I'm only human.

But of course... However, the Master Blaster used promptly even with a little water hardness on the shade and cool surface does a great job. It's best use though is wheels.
