2 quarts of oil in how many miles?

Glad to hear it is running ok now. They have to drop the engine out of the car to replace the spark plugs, correct?
The GT3 was having an issue with the #2 Cylinder, it was misfiring, and it appeared to have a faulty spark plug. After replacing all the spark plugs the issue appears to be resolved. I was also informed that burning 2 quarts of oil is normal. I am still surprised, unhappy, and let down with this car having so many faulty components. The car is amazing and one of kind and I hope the gremlins are gone.

I'm pleading old age. Not sure what Nizer is going to use for an excuse.

GTGTGT,
Thanks much for the update as it is a nervous subject for we GT3 stakeholders; this resolve is good news that the problem was a software electrical issue and not a mechanical hardware problem given the history of
previous issues we all know too well. Again thanks for sharing this for it does
benefit us to know despite how great this car is, there can still be those gremlins and I
surely hope they have now departed your new GT3 and with their departure
so goes your disappointment

My hypochondriac self would be nervous that that particular cylinder is burning excessive oil due to a sealing issue and that is then fouling the spark plugs prematurely. But if the issue doesn't come back in a similar amount of time, that's probably not it. To be sure, you could do s compression test. But not sure how easy that is on a 911 (newbie here).

That is not to say that there is not a one of error, it could be metallurgic, cracks in castings,, gaskets, any number of things, but usually not installation related as the human factor has been removed as far as possible.

Maybe, maybe not. Hence the question.
More like it.
Easy to do; just costs money.
If a tech told me burning 2 quarts in 2600 miles, or whatever it is, in a new 911 is normal I'd be looking for a new tech.

Burning Brakes
I'm at 1400 miles, no oil needed.
