GT3 - Porsche stops accepting new orders
#16
I honestly doubt that the RS is going to be as difficult as we think it is to order.
I mean they built 600 4.0s, and 918 units of the 918 spyder..
Why is it that we think that the 991RS's going to be more exclusive?
At the end of the day, porsche wants to sell just like any other car company..
Karim (wants to convince himself that he's getting his RS!!)

Does anyone know if the 918 motor will physically fit in the 991 chassis?
Wonder if 991.2 GT3 gets the supposed 4.0 from the 991.1 GT3RS and the 991.2 GT3RS gets a derivative of the 918 V8?

man all
this time
talking u could b driving or getting allocation.
since I drove my
old Rs in the wet this morning....
yes the new Rs will be hard to get
7.2 Rs was VERY hard to get if u want open allocation. how many ppl
in RL actually had open allocation? less than 50. even
regular gt3 open allocation for every generation was hard to get.
if u just want one already done, then yes. easy just pay up. open allocation different story. very different. looking at historical number is no indication. we can make a sticky and see how many can actually get msrp
open allocation Rs!
been doing this a loong time and every Rs had been fkg hard to
get. if u know
more than I, I will pay u a premium for open allocation Rs

I think it will be harder to get an open RS allocation in larger market dealers like LA, Chicago, NY, Houston, ect. More people with more money....just a guess though.

If the info at the top of this thread is true then it's likely there won't even be a GT3 for everyone who wants one. Also, as mooty and others point out the RS has always been hard to get. I have no idea what makes you think there will be "plenty of RS's"; I'd take that bet if there was any way to prove it one way or the other.
