Great thread and links for a newbie
After scanning this thread and others referenced I completed the job started by the original owner by taking scissors to the passenger seat pad - prior examples really made the job easy

Note that you ideally need to do a little stitching on the passenger side after you cut the threads, otherwise there is a small chance they can continue to unravel. Just make one cut of each of the threads in the center of the pass-through area, then slowly unravel it back until it starts to meet up with the existing stitching that stops at the ends of the pass-through area, then tie a finishing knot in there.

Contemplating whether to do this myself or to bring it to Aleks to do it. Funds are pretty tight right now and the seat is already out of the car so I would save having to remove/install the seat multiple times.
How difficult/dangerous is it to route the hole in the CF? I have a basic dremel. Do you need a special bit especially for CF like https://www.toolstoday.com/v-12180-4...hoCOm0QAvD_BwE? Is CF dust messy/highly toxic?

Buy an oscillating tool. Much cleaner. Just use the sanding dremel on the ends to round out the holes and use a dryvac right near your work.

I’ll use my mini shop vac with the dust bag to make cleanup easier. My big shop vac seems to mostly blow dust around.

thanks! I have a Fein MultiMaster. What kind of attachment and technique do you use to start/cut a hole in CF? How do avoid splitting/cracking the material while cutting?

Guys with 6-points installed with your LWBs....what do you do with the sub buckle assembly when you are just using the stock 3-point belt? (In my 996 GT3 I was able to tuck it under the front seat pad.) I searched different threads and didn't find anything.

I just remove the center buckle. Easy to do with a small push pin.

RossP,
Flip the latch over and on the back is a small hole, that is the pin for the sub, push a hard wire or small Allen wrench into the hole and you can pull the latch off the buckle, it snaps back on like all the other belts.
