Call one of your mechanically inclined buddies, order a pizza, and show them this video. It takes minutes.

Because it takes about 5 minutes to disconnect from the exhaust. I'm not sure anyone has figured out where the plug is if there is one. I think it might be controlled by software.

Matt, this is really awesome that you did this. Way to step up.
Also, thanks for posting the video of removing the valve hoses.

To be clear on what the Rusnak service department told me: 1) "We don't reccomend the mod - we had an instance where a 997 GT3 had some oil leaks from a gasket that was probably caused by an exhaust mod that reduced back pressure; these systems also cause drone"; 2) I asked if it was a Sharkwerks bypass: "Not sure"; 3) I asked if it was just a bypass or a more extensive cat-back exhaust modification: "Not sure".

Porsche claimed it may cause RMS seepage/ leaks. I believe they gave some difficulty with the warranty claim. Some dealers made claimants remove the bypass so they could perform the RMS replacement. I believe some had RMS seepage without the mod as well. Just saying, not making this claim myself. Porsche also said it was normal for the RMS to seep as the crank case needed to breath.

Matt,
Thanks, great review.
Time of the year in FL when we talk about power loss with AC on when tracking.
I can give up 10HP for some cool air coming out of 17 at Sebring.

Terrific effort!
I am not sure if this has been discussed, or if anyone did some testing, but I am wondering if the results will be any different if I am on the stock exhaust instead of the SW bypass?
