I guess I'm still in the minority, gauging from the 991 GT3RS spy shots it doesn't draw me in like the 997.2 GT3RS.

If my 2015 GT3 would just get here, I think I'll be perfectly content.

In the $ and performance category of the 991 GT3RS I'd grab a pre-owned Ferrari 458 Speciale.

My '11RS was a raw beast. If the '16RS is even more focused it won't be much fun on the street. Do you really want a 200K track car? If you do I hope you get one. '07 RS were tough to get I bought my '11 off the show room floor. We are creating our own hysteria.

I tend to agree with this. I think I like the cleaner design of the GT3 over the RS. Plus, the GT3 can easily be driven daily, unlike the RS. I think I'll likely have a opportunity to order an RS, but at this point I'm leaning on keeping the GT3 as it seems like it will be much more usable than the RS besides saving me quite a lot of $.

Why the assumption that it will be any less usable than the GT3 on the street? They could release it with 3 damper settings, setting 1 comfort same as GT3, setting 2, same as GT3 in sport, setting 3, more extreme than GT3.

The technology is there, easy for them to use it...

Nate
You may be right in that regard, but the RS won't be as "under the radar" as the GT3 is, especially in gray. That alone will make the GT3 more usable for me.

Uh, there are 100 GT3's for sale on autotrader. There will be used RS's for sale almost immediately after they are released. Save your money and let somebody else jump on the "gotta be the first person to drive this new car" grenade.

You have a point, The RS is likely to be 60K more than I have in my GT3.

No RS? I'd buy "environmentally correct" coal-burning Prius.

True, the wing will be a bit of a give away! I don't use a car daily, really only on weekends so staying under the radar hasn't been a concern. But can appreciate that being a factor.

I plan to pick up the new R8 when it comes out, the 140 lb diet will make the v8 a fantastic street car.

The only things that made previous RSs less street friendly are shorter gear ratios and LWFW.

These are both a non issue with PDK.

The RS will be equally at home on the street as the current GT3.

Correction - there are 100 listed for sale (haven't checked assuming you are correct) - how many are truly for sale or just listed because they are in dealer inventory. This has been discussed many times on the forum. Several people called my dealer about my car and offered to buy it before I picked it up because it got listed somewhere even though it was already sold.

I doubt 10 percent of the GT3's are for sale.
