Post Finally took delivery!

Hey guys,
I'm quite new to this forum. Thanks to you guys I was able to get to know what to expect out of the GT3 and I was especially thrilled reading fellow member's post delivery thoughts. Waiting for the car for the past six months wasn't so easy but it also doesn't make sense to get a car of this magnitude so easily. I guess the waiting just made sense that way.
I took the delivery of the car on the 13th and I absolutely love this machine. I mean yes the break in period is tough and maintaining the rev's to 4k is quite difficult. That being said the car by itself even if it wasn't moving is just amazing to look at, I mean it looks damn good. I think it's the best looking 991 IMO.
I went for the CWM with red stitching,18-way seats, sport chrono, lift kit, sound package plus with nav, platinum wheels.
Will post more on my findings and impressions of the car once I get to do a long road trip.

Attached pics are taken with iPhone. Will do better next time.

Superb,

Very interesting with the touch of red interior. I am surprised that you also have been informed of the limit of 4200 revs. In the UK the recommendation is keep revs under 7k, but nothing that specific in the owners manual?

I left home 3 weeks ago and as I sat on the runway I received an iMessaged a photo of my car that had just arrived. Flying home tomorrow to pick it up so I share your excitement.

Enjoy your car

Yes I've been told not to rev more than 4K during the break in period and if I'm not mistaken the owner's manual states the same. I was in Zuffenhausen last week and I was told by Porsche that all engines go through a pre-run so I assume it's safe to take it to 7K. I prefer to play it safe after all I intend to keep this car for a very long time.

Congrats on the car! Taking delivery of the car is the best feeling ever! Don't forget to show us your ride

Awesome car.. Enjoy !!!!!
Break in is tough. But it helps understand the car and push your limits with the car.

imm. my dealer informed me of not launching it and not going above 150klm. but my driving was like 5k rpm max. and 140klm max.

i just can't stop now hearing the sound from 3200rpm .

Yes the best part is when the valves open up after 3500rpm. Have you thought about an aftermarket exhaust to enhance the sound for the lower power band?
