2016 GT3 RS Allocation secured

There is a product road map within Porsche that is carefully calculated to produce incremental performance improvements for every model built for subsequent iterations. It may seem a little cynical, but Porsche plans for each model to be superceded - that's how they get current owners to buy new models (and keep up with the competition, in most cases). New facelift after 4 years of a new generation and a brand new generation every 7 years.
As for the RS outgunning the GT3, this is a foregone conclusion and supposedly the gap from GT3 to the RS is the widest ever with the 991 generation.

Dishonorable dealers will lose the paper and refund your deposit while charging over MSRP if such a market were to exist. Good dealers do what they put on the paper.

What is all this craziness about bragging and wanting to be the first about putting money down on this or that? Who knows more than the next guy? Geez this is worse than the teenage iPhone fanatics. Seriously?? Show us a pic when the car arrives. Having to read through all the speculation and Ali and his 20 Sons is a time waster.

I could care less about the allocations as I am first interested in the specs and expert reviews. Until I see and read those details the rest is just foreplay

Just out of curiosity, how many NA customers that wanted to spec out and buy a 997.2rs was left hanging? My point is. They should have a good idea based on history and current 991gt3 sales how big the market is for 991rs? Like TRAKCAR said it's not likely to be a limited edition?

^ That is why I would not rush out in a couple months and pay over MSRP. I bet Supply will come close to meeting demand. Plus, we have no idea if it will be at all street friendly or just hard core track

I like Enzo's approach. One less than the market demands. Now you guys can draw straws. :-)

ha ha ha....enzo is still alive, but now lives in Germany. It was his idea to do a "stop sale" on GT3 to limit production and will limit RS builds as he yells at works drivers practicing in Weissach.

I am not surprised, the UAE gets special dips other don't. I carefully recollect someone getting the only GT2RS PTS when someone in the US who have bought more than a dozen cars from Porsche was told NO, sorry can't do it.

if you want one you can get one: TRUE
if you want one at MSRP, spec'd they way you want (not just close, but exactly how you want it, as in you spec yourself): many will be disappointed.
the two above scenario is very different.

What's up with all the sarcasm and hurt feelings?!
Didn't think this thread will hurt so many egos. I was actually excited about sharing the news.
In KSA Turbo's are more popular than GT3s or even GT3RSs. You will see 10 Turbos before you see a GT3. Actually I never saw a 991 GT3 on the road since they came out. UAE, even though it is a smaller country than KSA, get more allocation because they sell more GT3s there which makes sense.
Porsche KSA called few people and told them that GT3 RSs allocations are open. 5 booked out of 7 so far and anymore would be on a waiting list. Its that simple!
In April/May we put our options in the system and hopefully receive the cars in Sep/Oct.

By the way, Samaco KSA Porsche Dealer never mark up their cars. You get the same price on the configurator with no hassle. So I will know the final price in May maximum.
If the salesman knows what he is talking about, we should see the RS Launch in Geneva Motor Show which is why I'm booking early on to go to that show.

Almost 3000 people have read this thread. My guess is there are a lot of people that were interested to hear that you have an allocation for an RS. Congratulations.
