Houston we have a problem

This doesn't look to be that big of a problem to me. It looks like the person assembling that panel made a simple mistake with the button arrangement. They likely make those all day long for all types of cars. I'm sure this happens occasionally but this one made it past QC.
I too would be curious if pressing that button ingauges sport mode rather than pasm. Id guess it to work off position rather than special button.
The dealer should just have to order the button and install it.

You can have my PDK Sport button. I don't use it. It does nothing in manual mode. I just wonder if your suspension button works in it's current location.

I thought it also remaps the ECU for quicker throttle response, etc., even in manual mode.

Wow...NOW...I don't feel so bad....But I will say, I think Porsche really dropped the ball on the PDI on my can and this one as well. Insane, totally insane....GOOD LUCK WITH THE FIX

Sorry to see that, sure it will be rectified easily. Until then, did you try keeping the transmission in auto mode then push the suspension button to see if that button (based on location) changes the shifting to Sport Plus versus it actually being linked to the suspension mode? Perhaps the button is mismatched and what you are really missing is the actual sport/normal button??
edit: others suggested same, didn't notice.

Funny my car was an October build but normally Octoberfest should be winding down. I am going to drive to dealer today and will see if suspension button activates PDK sport. I woke up this morning thinking this was all a bad dream but unfortunately not. I am sure it will get corrected but being the perfectionist the Germans are I find it very strange!

Well, someone in the assembly line f..up big time. But without a question the car went thru all quality control without anyone catching it. For a six figure car that is a big mistake. Porsche has problems without a question. Hopefully it is just assembly interior pieces only and not engine parts. You know, I would document it and send a nice letter to their management/board, this is an opportunity for improvement at the factory floor!

Yup. This is no Toyota, the car costs as much as a modest home. If this is a sign of their overall QC (hopefully just a rare anomaly), we may be relying on warranty coverage more than we wanted to, so good idea to make sure all required maintenance, including for track use, is done on schedule and well documented.

Can't believe this would pass QC or PDI, absolutely shocking. What concerns me is what other basic inspections have been forgotten or bypassed??? To me PCNA seriously needs to get to the bottom of this and get a response back from PAG. I strongly suggest that there should be a list of pre delivery inspection to check off and have the inspector sign off, similar to the individual who assembles the engine. Being I have yet to receive my car....my inspection/question list is growing daily. Keep us posted.

While interesting, I don't think this is a big deal. I wouldn't make a mountain out of a molehill.
However, if the wiring or something other components are missing, that's an issue.
In normal 991's, there are sport plus and no sport plus models so in the midst of checking hundreds of cars, this wouldn't strike someone as anomalous. That coupled by the fact that the sport plus is not an option in the GT3 (which would mean QC didn't need to look for it) makes it a comedy of errors (if that's how it transpired... who knows)
I agree, it should be noted for no other reason than Porsche should learn from this.

Interesting story and miss. However, it won't be worth any more down the road.

Yet with what I've seen occur on true mistake , one offs....
I would wait patiently, always seems to be a surprise down the road.
Sometimes a ridiculously pleasant surprise.
You have a documented one of a kind, just something to consider.
