Default Question Re: Clear Tails When Lit

I have somewhat mixed feelings on these, but have seen some pics recently which look great with certain combos. My question though is this--In some pics they appear to almost look more pink than red, when lit. Is this the effect in real life or just a photo/optic effect? Thx.

They are red. Here's a video I made that shows more about how they light up

That's great you made a video. I still can't get over the smoke. Does it only smoke when the car is being started up cold?

I have them and they are certainly not as red as the reds. And, not nearly as red as the video makes them out to be. I like 'em

That was the main point of the video when I made it. Some times she smokes, some times she doesn't. It scared me the first time bc I had no idea it was supposed to happen.

Does anyone know if you have to remove the rear bumper to take out the tail lights?

I'm switching my cleats for red ones.

I believe you do not. Open trunk and unbolt right there to remove panel and then there is access. The Mechanic at the dealership helped remove that clear rubber piece that was coming out of taillight that way

Awesome thanks

I'm assuming they are standard 991 tail lights too. Hope so.

It should be easier than this bc the rear hood and spoiler are one piece on the gt3

I pulled out a small clear rubber piece from my tail light. I was wondering what it was.

They should be. Let me know if you're interested in selling your old red ones
