Porsche GT3 there is no substitute
I think we all agree that the Gt3 is a great car. The whole Porsche line up of cars, are great cars. The Gt3 stands out as the Best all round car in the Porsche models avail. Not to mention best value. Yes its expensive, but build a GTS or a Carrera S, add options to get close to Gt3 and you will be close but the car that you built is not as good as Gt3. Now, I may be a bit biased, and I don't require a back seat....still Best value for the money.

I might argue that a Turbo is the better all around car if you don't track. The GT3 is great car, I love mine, but a bit more narrowly foucused. Just my opinion.
I owned a 991S and currently a 991TT and a GT3.

Agree. But some may prefer the GT3 over turbo. Because the turbo is slightly too much of a GT. If $$ is no object, I would have both.

The turbo is the ultimate overkill car. It's am amazing gt car that is also a sports car but it is too clinical and too smooth. Every time I have driven one I was going way too fast without knowing it. It's a great car for the autobahn with no speed limits for most parts of this country a regular Carrera S is more than fast enough.

911S is enough. I should of kept mine and stopped this nonsense. I enjoyed mine before the TT became available.
I think the GT3 is pretty GTish to compared to my 11RS.
I must admit if I were to keep one it would be the GT3. But, it's not my only car. I don't miss the RS.
If you are buying a car at this level you should get the one that turns you on the most.

The Turbo is probably a better fit for me for what I use the car for. The GT3 cost less and when you factor in depreciation it cost a lot less. That is probably what swayed me toward the GT3 the most.

TT is the daily drivers choice...hard rain no problem with awd...it has a more comfort driven interior...quiter, better stereo, ect. My Cayenne GTS is my daily errand, practicality vehicle....GT3 is my mistress.

Great minds think alike I have a cayenne GTS too. It just pulled my boat out of the water for the winter. I don't think my GT3 could handle that. Lol

Sorry, but no matter how you spec the C2S/GTS, it won't be *close* to the GT3 in several critical ways (e.g., PDK-S, rear-axle steering, speed, styling ... and these are just a few off the top of my head).

But there will also be things in the C2S/GTS that you can't get on the GT3. Manual being the biggest one.

Agreed -- MT, sunroof, back seats, etc. But that's a different issue entirely and you'll find far more people speccing the C2S/GTS to make it closer to a GT3 than vice versa.
