Default Steam from front while driving

I have seen some comments about steam comming from the front of the car, but was supprised by how much and for how long my car did this today.

Steam from the front of the bonnet like a boiling kettle for over 5 mins when driving in slow traffic, fogging the outside of the screen. Does this stop after a while?

As soon as you drive it goes away, sometimes use wipers in very slow traffic, I have only ever had in in rain, but that was all 997GT3's but from what I can see its the same.

Had this too. While driving in Amsterdam. It was raining a little a there was a lot of steam coming from the front end.
My girlfriend's hair styling equipment was put with some luggage in the front, she just used it before packing. I thought it was still hot and had to move over to check if something was burning.
Luckily it was just the car steam coming from the front. Bit weird though.
Also while driving in the city people are looking at the front if it's on fire.
Quite awkward.

Its just water raining into the center radiator vent. That's why only GT3's do it.

Brakes sound like a school bus, sounds like race car, steam coming from the front.. What's not to like?

I would guess it's water evaporating off the center radiator as it gets hot. The air flow grill on top of the front bumper gets super hot, so it would make sense you could get steam coming out.

Lots of HP, lots of waste heat. In addition to the occasional steam, all of that heat from the front radiators makes the frunk area very warm. Not a place for carrying ice cream or chocolate bars for any distance.

Not sure I would even put groceries in there.

Same here, it happen to me 3 times. The last time, I drove the car for about 15 minutes at about 7 am and the steam lasted several minutes after I parked. I'm also getting the white smoke from the exhaust at start up. At times my GT3 looks like a DJ's fog machine.
