Steam from front while driving

Happens to me too. Usually if 1) the car has just been washed and, at slow speeds, residual water pours down into the radiator vent, or 2) at slow speeds when it starts raining and water is hitting the radiator heat exchanger. I love seeing it.

steam
Here is the deal - water accumulates up front (washing, rain, etc) and until the radiator is called upon when the engine makes a certain temp (I think 220) then the coolant circulates up front, there is your steam!
I was heading to a track day and this happened 5 miles from home, thought a blown hose or whatever. I had washed the car and put it away the night before. It was enough steam that when I pulled over people were really looking at me wondering what was going on. Anyhow went direct to the dealer service staff and they confirmed all this.
So no worries!

Happen to me the other night after a wash (Outside temp around 40*F). The kids in the car next to me told me it looked like a dragon and wanted to see it blow flames...

Steamy front
I have experienced the same on my 991.2 Carrera. I collected my car yesterday and that’s the first thing I notice when arrived the detailing shop. It really got me worried I wanted to go back to the dealer as I literaly picked it up like 15 min. Earlier. I called the salesman and he was like it’s probably because it was just washed and I shouldn’t worry about it unless it keeps steaming in a couple hours later. Good thing it didn’t but im a new Porsche owner and didn’t want this to be the start of a bad experience. Here a pic of how it looked.
