Finally Arrived!
I'm happy to report that I picked up my 2015 GT3 from Porsche of Chattanooga on Thursday. Many thanks to my sales rep, Jon Lancaster, and the rest of the gang at PofC. I am pictured in #2 below to the right of Jon.
My wife and I took the airport shuttle from Atlanta to Chattanooga on Thursday morning so we could drive home together. When we got to Chattanooga our sales rep, Jon, picked us up at the shuttle stop and brought us to the dealership. The minute we pulled in we saw the beast parked behind a large roll-up door. All those options I obsessed over for months? They looked perfect. All of the second guessing about this and that? Gone in an instant! The car was literally perfect. Wouldn't change a thing!
To make the day even better, my friend Haku (from here on rennlist) and his lovely wife met us at the dealership. They were kind enough to hang out while we did our paperwork and went over the car with Jon. Then they treated us to a wonderful lunch before we headed back to Atlanta. Thanks Haku!
As you can see, our new beast is GT Silver Metallic, complimented by black PDLS, platinum wheels, steel brakes, leather, red stitching, red belts, carbon fiber trim and Sharkwerks exhaust. Between the drive home and some running around this weekend I've logged about 300 miles. The highlight was on Sunday when we drove a short loop (1:20) through the North GA mountains. I kept the RPMs between 4K and 5K to respect the break-in period (difficult!) and had an absolute blast! I cannot imagine what 9K is going to be like. You get out of this car after a drive like this and you want to get right back in it and start all over again. Its that good!
Thanks to everyone here on Rennlist for sharing your knowledge, thoughts and opinions. The information was invaluable in determining my final configuration.
