Leather interior vs. standard interior.

Leather interior vs. standard interior.
What exactly is covered in leather for this option as opposed to what is not with the standard interior?
Also, if you go with the standard, do you not get the colored stitching in those areas as you would with the leather?

There is a huge debate on this topic do a search, and you will get all your answers. You need to order leather to get deviated stitching. I would say you probably have a 80% leather, and 20% no leather option on this board. I'm in the 80%, and love the leather option

Correct only in the seats, but not the dash and doors.

No one has seen the buckets in any interation yet. But I would guess the platinum stitching comes on standard interior with LW buckets. The big thing you loose in standard interior is the dash covering with stitching as well as the door panel coverings and stitching above the door armrest as well as the upper part of the rear 1/4 panels below the window. You also will not get the "silver" finish horizontal door accent trim that match the dash trim - they will be vinyl covered and match-up to the silver ones on the dash face..

No worries, I did the same and was a 143k, and what I wanted was 152k. End of the day I spent 6% more to get what I wanted and I love my build. Don't let anyone talk you out of what you want. Enjoy your build!

full leather adds leather trim on doors and top of dash and in the rear.
standard the seats are leather, but not doors or top of dash or rear.
with either option, there is lots of alcantara, and there is platinum stitching on the seats.
some think its crazy to not order full leather on a $150k car, I understand that line of argument.
To me, if there had been full leather options that were more subtle, I would have purchased. Or in a turbo or AMG, etc. I personally feel the full leather makes the interior look too busy for a GT3.
But as has been said, many threads debating this.
If someone likes the full leather, I think it would be crazy to not do it for only $3400

Had standard in my 997.2. Always thought it looked kinda cheap for a 130k plus car. Decided to go for the full leather on the new car.

I didn't order full leather in my GT3 or Turbo. If I own the car a couple of days I don't notice full leather and it does not add to my enjoyment. IMO I don't think the red stitching adds anything over the platinum stitching. You get zero back when you sell it. YMMV.
