12 o'clock marker on the alcantara wheel
Hi everyone,
I am relatively new to this forum. Have been doing a lot reading but not a lot of posting. I have a 2015 GT3 on order. Unfortunately I was one of the unlucky ones whose order got pushed back from 1/23 to 3/16 because of the bucket seats. I had asked Melissa at the porsche exclusive if I can get a yellow marker on my alcantara steeing wheel at 12 o'clock. She got back to me yesterday with the "good news" I can order this option and it only costs 3,245 dollars !!!
Any thoughts?
I have attached a copy of my order sheet. I know I probably went over board with the options. I guess that's what happens when you wait for a car for 15 months. You have a lot of time to tick boxes

Have you considered taking a small piece of red electrical tape and wrapping it around the top of the wheel for 2cents? ... Cause that's what racers actually do

I hope you plan on keeping the car for a very long time, because the depreciation on most of those options is going to be basically 100% the moment you drive it off the lot.

Awesomely spec'ed car! It becomes a matter of what you like. I like the 12:00 marker. I'm curious on why it's yellow when the rest of the interior specs are accented in red. Might be very cool though to have the offset color.
Maybe on the price say to her, "aw come on, I've been pushed back this long and you can't give me a break?"
Never hurts to ask!

Dinner and an evening out with Melissa should come with that price tag.
Dan (thinks if you're willing to spend $50k in options, go for the extra $3.2k for what you want)

Ask your dealership who would they recommend to recover steering wheels. I had that done on my TTS, plus changed the stitching to deviated. In the right hands, you would not be able to tell the difference and it would cost a couple of hundred bucks or so.

3k, wow, bet a new wheel is cheaper, heres what you do, get some leather in the color you want, get a seamstress to make it into a little band with velcro on ends, put on wheel and take off as needed. I actually was thinking about this too, glad I didnt pursue it further Maybe trey are confused and think you want the whole wheel yellow
