Default Car cover choice

Hello all, here in the Northeast, where we already had 2" of snow last night, I am getting set for putting the car to bed for a while.

Does anyone have any recommendation for a good quality car cover? I realize that Porsche has one available, but I was hoping to find something like satin stretch which is similar to what Ferrari uses. This cover will only be used indoors as basically a dust cover.

Any suggestions will be appreciated

Rich

This one is a stretch fit one I believe...

And fits the GT3 like a glove, including wing from what I understand.

The Porsche cover is the same as the Ferrari cover. I have both. They are so expensive though. I think the Porsche cover is $317.00.

You are talking about dialing-up the Coverking company:

http://www.coverking.com/custom-car-covers

They have everything you are asking for and more. If you so desire they will make the satin stretch cover in any style and color combo you can think of. Of course they make outdoor covers as well.

I have the Porsche GT3 cover and it fits well and does the job as far as I'm concerned!

I also have the Porsche indoor cover shown in the link rockitman posted above. The satin finish cover has a soft flannel-like lining protects the finish and the cover is an absolutely perfect fit, including over the wing. It also folds/rolls up very compactly so that it doesn't take up a lot of precious frunk space. Not cheap, but well worth the price.

For this kind of money, I wish Porsche themselves would just include a cover and battery maintainer. It would make life so much easier!

This indoor cover?

http://carnewal.com/products/All/p011/Car-Cover-Indoor

The site says it's a cover supplied to OEM manufacturers but it doesn't say it's the exact indoor Porsche one that is available through Suncoast and other dealers. Is there a reason you'd consider buying the cover, if it was the same, from Carnewal instead of Suncoast?

The Porsche cover Suncoast sells is perfect for indoor use, IMHO.

no

its exactly why I asked the question... if they are the exact same cover it would be easier and cheaper to purchase from suncoast

however, I don't see all the colors available on suncoast, and/so I am thinking maybe different covers.

no doubt that Gert at Carnewal is an absolute class act, I have successfully purchased from him many times in the past for other products/services... just not sure about these covers, trying to gather my intel

Having utilized various car covers on all my Porsche's. Porsche themselves make a nice cover but my preference now is Specialised Car Covers in the UK. Santa has just provided another with I will post pictures shortly

As other have stated, get the Porsche branded one. I've used the same one I got 7 years ago for my 997 and the same one has fitted my 997, 997.2 GT3, 991S and current 991 GT3. For me, it been worth the higher price.
