Where do you find out which tire you get? When the car goes V331?

On sheet in dealer's system, entitled "Shipping/Invoicing". On the last line, 4 lines below VIN number.

Mine just arrived at the port waiting for "a ride" to NJ. Guess I won't know until "boarding".

Thanks

Well after 900 miles I can say that the Dunlops are very sticky! Even with cold temps. I am careful to watch the pressures come up and when the rears hit 38 psi I feel safe to really rip it.
I like them! Only had one time to drive them on damp pavement and I can definitely say the Michelins have more grip on damp pavement.
But since I won't be driving my car in the rain... I don't care!

But when it gets back part of your warranty will already be used.

My car just got to the port on Friday and is waiting for a ship home. The dealer told me the tires are Michelin's which I was hoping for.

MBZ -spec versions of this Dunlop model have been OEM on some past AMG SLS and C63 Black Series models ..these are all produced in Germany
( the GT3 spec Mich's are manufactured in France )

I have about 300 miles on the Dunlops. No complaints. They seem quite sticky when warm. We'll have to see how they hold up.

Well, I just found out my car, which is at the port waiting for a ship, is wearing Dunlops. I was hoping for Michelins but there's not much I can do about it now except wait and see how they perform.

I was wondering, besides labeling + performance differences perhaps (seems to be differing opinions here), do they look the same from a profile view? Seems like the Michelins have a clean smooth rounded sidewall, whereas the Dunlops have some sort of crease close to the outer rim of the wheel.

Thanks

The Dunnys have a bead wall and slope in at the top more than the Michys. I don't really like the looks of them. And they don't have the cool felt patch that the Michelins do. Having said that, they are very sticky, and performed OK in the cold temps today. In the picture of the tire pressures, one was on the sun side of the car and warmed up faster! This was after 15 minutes of driving.
