Ummm, well I think I now know what I'll be buying myself for Christmas this year...wow oh wow. So much for my initial plan of keeping the exhaust stock.

Pure sex! Akrapovic can make one hell of an exhaust. Sounds good, light and makes power as well.

Keep going This is the full system with side mufflers. On 997 GT3 it retailed for $14k and be could bought for $11k-$12k. Expect the 991 GT3 system to see a price bump.

I really like AK's build quality and design, however I'm not too sure about getting Titanium exhaust on a GT3. AK's note suits a SLS much better IMO.

I highly doubt this will be $5k or even close to that. With that large of a cf diffuser, I think this will be into the $10k realm very easily.

I saw a slip-on exhaust from Akrapovic available though? Would be interested to get some first hand reviews.

Don't think anyone has purchased it yet - my local Akra dealer is trying to find out if we can start with it and later buy the rest of the evolution system. Should be possible, but don't want to take the plunge on it just yet...

My local dealer quoted me about 5k plus for the slip-on and it is avail in 2-3 months time. You can add on the headers later but it is still under development. I think SW is better value.

I like the sound of the IPE and for a cost around $6500 I think if I decide to take the plunge that will be my route. But - I am happy with the SW Bypass and no sense going crazy because I have a habit of not keeping my toys too long - although this one could be a keeper for at least 4 years. I figure will sell it with one year left on warranty

SW is a very good value buy, but if I'm going to switch out stock I want to get the best system. My only bit of pause is that the RS will probably come from the factory with an Akra exhaust...

Have you checked out cargraphic? I run their exhaust on my track car and they also make great products.

Heard the common rumor the .2 RS had the center section manufactured by Akrapovic. Not so sure that was the case,; could be wrong. Maybe someone here knows for certain.

Iircc, that center section was still heavier than SW yet somewhat lighter than OEM. I'd still opt for the Akrapovic if I was willing to spend that kind of dough.

Didn't some of the factory Ti centers crack? Not sure if Akrapovic had the same issues.
