That is blue spike tape from B and H photo. IMO, I think the spike tape works better with alcantara, and basic electrical tape better with leather. It is a no residue material, so if I find anything different I'll report.

Halfway between downtown and Boulder. Rural area where Golden/Arvada meet.
Once broken in, I'll be sure to get it out to High Plains Raceway. My personal best when open lapping was a 2:07.xx in a stock 09 C2S with PDK.
