I've come to the conclusion that the GT3 looks good in any color.
Let's agree to disagree on 'Lime Gold Metallic'. I expect Porsche to withdraw this unpopular color with the introduction of the .2 991 facelift next Spring! There is a special burial place just east of Fellbach where these toxic colors can be safely interred - never to be considered or revived again in the German automobile business! The grave has already been dug (I donated a few Euros to the cause) and now we are just waiting for the color 'cadaver' to arrive! Oh, Happy Day!

'Ipanema Blue Metallic'. A MY2012 997 color selection offered by Porsche. It was announced in late March of 2011. I think Ipanema was implemented starting with MY2012 997 production which commenced rather early for that model year - early spring of 2011 and ended way before calendar year end 2011! Very short model year for the last 997 & very few Ipanemas ordered for that model year. So kind of the rare of the scarce!
It confuses me why Porsche would offer these very mixed colors like lime green, or mahogany which really fit more conservative vehicles, but then don't give the gt3 proper racer colors like orange, or mexico blue, or strong purple color...
came across this thread googling so I figured I would add in some more examples of the color. In person I literally get tons of compliments on the color daily. It doesn’t photograph as well as in person.
