Tour of factory
Going to Germany next week to look at some horses with my wife which worked out great to see the factory. I do have a 15 gt3 build that is on the line as we speak so close to it but will have to wait until dec for arrival. Never posted on the site but have enjoyed reading all the threads which has helped me on this build. If anybody has some suggestions on the tour or nearby places please speak up. Thanks

It's all my wife she did 3 day eventing now just dressage. Her whole life has been dedicated to horses she purchases some from the Stuttgart auction brings them back over. I have no knowledge of them just learn as I go. She actually trained for two years in Germany with hopes of the Olympics.

The only sport I can think of that sucks up more cash CONSTANTLY is big offshore speed boat racing. Those f-uckers break all the time and are a fortune to fix/insure/fill up with gas, ect ect ect............and way more fun than a bunch of horses s-hitting all over the place.
Or, uh... so I'm told.

That kinda sucks that your car will be completed and sitting there, yet you can't pick it up! Would drive me crazy. Agree that Mercedes Museum is a must, it's really quite amazing.

The factory tour is amazing. You may need to talk to your dealer about getting tickets. If you are pressed for time I would do the factory tour over the museum.
Seeing how Porsche assembles the cars at Zuffenhausen was very enlightening.
I did a ED pick up this fall, the factory tour was a high point of the trip.

There is a Car & Tech Musuem in Sinsheim, about a 1 hour drive away from Stuttgart (towards Mannheim). I was there many, many years ago but it certainly has changed. Here is the link: http://sinsheim.technik-museum.de/en...hlights-museum
