Shark Werks Exhaust Tip Rennlist Group Buy
Hey guys,
I know a lot of people picked up our bypass exhaust for their 991 GT3 and asked about "RS" exhaust tips (which we did not have available yet)
SW vs. Stock:
Here's a pic of the tips on a 997 GT3 (they are the same tips, just a little longer on the 991):
Like the stock tip, the outer diameter on these tips we make are ~88 mm. The difference is that ours are single walled stainless steel, so the inner diameter is much bigger than the OEM tips giving it a more aggressive look without being closer to the bumper cover. These fit stock exhaust, our bypass, or any others that use the stock tip design.
They're also about a pound lighter (3.5 vs 2.5 lbs) and the coating on our tips is satin black (slightly shiny) compared to glossy black. We also have a non-coated / silver / raw stainless steel version available.
This Group Buy is no longer available. Thank you for your support!

Sounds good Dan is out today so you're left with me:P
Hey Macca I didn't get a PM? Maybe try email alex@sharkwerks.com
So on the 997's over the years yes we have done a lot of testing. Less so with the 991 however you really just want to make sure you leave the same gap as factory between the tip and the plastic shroud is all.
Will try to get one

Not really a true statement. Thermodynamics will tell you that the OEM double wall construction, with the inherent air gap between both, will act somewhat as an insulator; and having 2 pieces of metal means you have 2 heat sinks.

Correct on that. I just mean as far as people having used them and being ok on the 997 over the years. Sometimes people do have a tendency to install bigger tips and not space them out far enough is all. The stock exhaust is adjustable as are the tips.

Dang it! I messed around too much today and didn't get a chance to call and order. I'll call on Monday.
