MAY 15 (Friday) - early start in ATL
Scenic drive to the Smokies
Overnight in the Smokies

MAY 16 (Saturday) - Full day of driving
Blue Ridge Pwy, Joyce Kilmer, Fontana, Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala
Overnight in the Smokies

MAY 17 (Sunday) - informal drives, chats, depart

We will soon send out the accomodation and route info to everyone on the list. As we are trying to fix the numbers, please confirm your participation.





At the instigation of fellow believers sgroer, kencollinsjr, and others, the 991 GT3 brethren of the South (GA, TN, AL, NC, others) are uniting for a spring weekend event. The dates and itenary are yet to be decided but there's sure to be plenty of driving in the Smokies and relevant sermons on the wonders of this heavenly car.

I better stop with the religious theme....

At the moment there are at least 12 rennlisters who are up for this! Yes, 12!!!

Questions:

- Can the human mind cope with seeing a such large group of GT3's?
- What do you call a dozen+ GT3's?..... a gaggle?....a swarm?....?

We have/will have:
- sponsorship
- professional quality photo coverage (ground/aerial)

As its already a large group so we might as well add to it.

Once we get more details I can handle the reach out to porsche as I have been in detailed discussions with them over the last few months about my situation. This will be a ton of fun.

We could look into renting track time at AMP. Allan may know more as I believe he is a member.

Thanks for getting this rolling Haku! Should be an absolute blast. Count me in for helping organize.

Haku: amazing idea and initiative. I have a contact at PCNA I can reach out to about this, if needed. He's a friend of a friend who's pretty high up there if we need to pull some strings. This could shape up to be a fantastic weekend.

My thanks to you and Sean for first mentioning it.
Yes contacts at PCNA would really be useful and I think its a great way to let all and sundry know about the event and the GT3's fans.

I'm sure that P or Chattanooga will prepare goody bags and forms of sponsorship.

It would be fun if the weekend could include:
- Drives
- Autocross
- Track (maybe Barber or somewhere else if we can pull a few strings)
- GT3 talks by Preachers with Sermons!
- Photoshoots - Group and Individual - Static and Action/Aerial using a drone...I will ask a friend who does this and is a pro.

... other suggestions?

We have time to organize this so the more suggestions there are the better. We can then decide on the possibilities and allocate tasks.
