Onyx White Metallic?? (New color)
I was just at my dealer finalizing and locking my Nov. build.
A new color (or is it) showed up on the configurator, Onyx White Metallic. When he opened it up, a strange burgundy/wine color was displayed. He was puzzled and never heard of it.
Anyone??

I believe it is a PTS color, did know it was on the configurator. Thought it had a hefty premium but I could be wrong.

It appeared on the turbo when it was first launched. I'd didn't know it was a choice .........I choose white metallic.

That is some "Z" option only on the dealership configurator. It is a PTS, but I think it is even more $ than normal paint to sample- ask Eduardo
oryxweiß perlmutteffekt C9A 0K01 / Oryx White Pearl Effect C9A 0K01/ 0K1
It is z-option 90144. Interestingly, on the screen shot from my dealer earlier this year, it was $5,520.

and has code 0K1. Looks like attached photos. Rennlister Suzy991 in Switzerland photographed on a Porsche show car in Europe and was interested in ordering the color on her prospective PTS Turbo order. But the cost of that special paint is apparently not the normal $5,500. Porsche Exclusive quoted her a substantially higher amount - like closer to $20K+ - to do this special paint. So she gave up on it.

Both Canadian dealer employee Iromanosky and Suzy991 reported that Porsche Exclusive quoted them double the normal PTS cost for 'Oryx White Pearl Effect'. So to clarify, in my previous post I reported that I thought Suzy991 was quoted $20K+ for 'Oryx'. That is not correct. It is just double the normal PTS cost. So approx. US$11K or Can$12.6K!

Re: What you see in computer screen provided by mcsmcs1
The disparity between what you see on the computer screen and the true cost of 'Oryx White Pear Effect' special paint might be attributable to what the dealer was looking at that moment on his computer. Notice that the 'Paint to Sample' option is listed on the screen as $0. Which we know that is not correct. So it appears that the dealer had perhaps already selected PTS and this screen now (pictured above) is telling the dealer one other special PTS color is also available - Oryx White Pearl Effect - but at an ADDITIONAL $5520 to the initial $5500 cost for normal PTS. That is the only thing that makes sense to me from what I see above.

And here is another customer order. This car is a PTS, which we just managed to sqeek in before the deadline, in Oryx White Metallic, which is a Pearlescent colour for which Porsche is charging $12,600 (though the build sheet lists the regular PTS charge of $6,300).
So the car is Pearl White Metallic with a Black interior, all the extra leather pieces, and Pebble Grey Contrast Stitch. It will be gorgeous for sure. The owner plans on breaking the car in by taking a 8,000km road trip!
As with the other special cars that we have ordered, I will be sure to post photos when they arrive.

Yes, that's exactly how it is indeed, they just doubled the price. It's absolutely a beautiful color, but IMO just way too expensive. VW paints a Beetle in the exact same color for 1/10th of the price and with the same quality.

Look at the headlight washer. The lights are creating the blue and pink effect. I'm talking about the metallic flecks. And, I think it was a bit pearlescent on a Porsche I saw at the dealership. Guess well know soon enough.

Yep, but they are two different colors. I saw metallic white under the light in person no rainbow Do you prefer the rainbow effect?

VW group sharing colors? Maybe Lamborghini had some leftover Bianco Opalis from the 50th Anniversary Gallardo. In person it looks like white with fairy dust sprinkled over it.

New to me, yes I like the color!
Just thought I'd share. This is my first Porsche. I love the color. I'd love to know how many were done in this cream exterior / natural brown leather interior in 2009. Does anybody know?
