Thankfully I'll get there early, and only deal with it at the end of the day. It's a four hour road trip for us, so the car will be plenty filthy by the time we get there. Maybe we'll luck out with a strong marine layer!

If you select the better parking, I don't remember seeing a single day option. Also, does that pass include all passengers or do you just by one corral pass and additional GA passes?

Corrall pass gives you car park plus ticket for driver. Passengers need to buy general admission.

Definitely in, as well as a +1 for my wife.

As for parking, we're taking the Cayenne GTS, or our Mini, so parking in the dirt is fine with us. We did it last time on the hill, and it was more low mowed dry grass, so dust wasn't that bad. We are just doing the one day, Saturday; as I promised my wife and daughter a day at the beach.

Well, we went there last year and it was fine- nothing to rave about, american grill style food. There are lots of places in Monterey and Carmel, but this is one of the few Motorsports themed restaurants focused on of course, Laguna Seca. Turn 12- there are only 11 turns at Laguna.

Let's see if Eduardo has other options, but this was one of his recommendations last year. I'm figuring 25 for dinner, but let's keep sounding off!

Both are owned by the same person - car collector & enthusiast Pat Phinny. Great guy. As a matter of fact, our 'Garage Tour' owners club in Carmel just spent a wonderful afternoon & early evening at his home in Carmel Valley, where he hosted a dinner & garage tour for our group!

I put together a list of Carmel area restaurants for the Porsche Parade in 2014 which might allow some of you not familiar with our area to check them out via the magic of the internet!

The weekly gathering of sport cars & hot rods is on Thursdays! So for Parade week that would be June 19th! (first two photos).

The Baja Cantina owner, my friend & auto collector Pat Phinny, also owns 'Turn 12' restaurant (American) in downtown Monterey - named because Laguna Seca has 11 turns! Might be worth a visit too! http://www.turn12barandgrill.com

By the way, you can drive from Carmel to Greenfield (on 101, south of Salinas) via Carmel Valley Road and Monterey County G16 Road. Pretty twisty...and a good Porsche interior road to drive!

Lots of restaurants to choose from, obviously. There will likely be logistical issues around whether a large group can be accommodated, parking, proximity to the track for the sake of convenience...yadda, yadda, yadda. I don't know how important it is to have a "fine dining" experience; just somewhere where we can all get together, eat, drink, and have some fun. I'm up for whatever, but FWIW the Turn 12 place sounds ok to me.

Agree with Mike, many of the finer dining restaurants are not friendly to large groups, however I always stand corrected with local knowledge from Eduardo. I think Turn 12 has a great atmosphere, it's close to the track in Monterey and has pleanty of parking nearby. Plus, they can accomodate a large group, but we will need to book soon. At this point, without knowing better this is the easiest place, but I can check on Baja Cantin tomorrow. We will need a reservation of at least 25 it looks like. Eduardo- of course your recommendations for this Rennlist group will trump all!

Tarpy's is a good place, good food and service. They are 1/2 wsy between the track and Monterey. They also have a large separate " large group/party" room which is above the courtyard entrance and completely separated from the restaurant.

I didn't mean to stir things up, just thought that I would mention the yelp ratings….usually when you have a large group, service will suffer. Someone earlier mentioned the hospitality area that Porsche had in the paddock at the 2011 Reunion, complete with food and at least two kinds of Spaten. Maybe we can have an additional attempt at meeting up here, perhaps around lunch time, to allow more flexibility in schedules? I know name tags are a bit corny, but it would be nice to have a way to identify each other...

Baja Cantina can do a pretty large group if we sit outside.

I've never been to Turn 12, but its sounding more and more like a good choice. Track themed, good location and can have a large group of people.
