^Parking lot 4-D in the map above is outside the Vendor area and almost always used for corrals- that is paved. Next area used is what is marked 4 inside turn 5- that can get really dusty. Let's hope that is not for the GT cars!

That's my old Spyder center of shot, three rows up from the bottom. It didn't get particularly dusty that weekend.

I will be there again this year, sans Porsche, my other half opting to use her ticket money for the spa.

What are the lunch options during the event? food trucks or tents? Hard to imagine the small cafe there handling the crowd. Would be nice to have a Rennlist meet as I am relatively new to the forum and it would be great putting a face to all the great cars!

I have been racing at Laguna for 30 years. On the map above, the green 3 area has paved parking. The green 4 D area is paved in the area where the "D" is. BUT the area marked "4" in the green is dirt. They will usually park 2 rows of cars up and down the "D" area, best to get there early and hope you are escorted there. Otherwise everything else at trackside is dirt. You definitely do not want the swale ( blue 2) parking unless you are driving a high ground clearance 4-wheel drive vehicle, even at that not good...

I'll be there, racing Tini in the PCA Club Racing session, along with Mooty. I'll be there all three days, and unlike Mooty, I was savvy enough to actually book a hotel in town. Hence, I'll be wanting to join some fellow Rennlisters for dinner Friday and Saturday nights.

at Rennspt IV there were aisles of food trucks/tents with a variety of foods in the paddock area.
Also, Porsche had an event/display/restaurant area in the paddock. They served a variety of German cuisine. (This area might be a good place for RL'ers to meet?)

Just a suggestion- If you want Event tinkets/clothes SHOP EARLY. The lines were long, and items like T shirts sold-out right away!!!!
see ya there!

I can reserve for a group at Turn 12 Saturday night in Monterey. It's a pretty cool place with lots of memorabilia.

Need a headcount-
Mike in CA?
24Chromium?
Mooty?
Z356?
Skibum1963?
GregJGT3?
bigcraig?
others?

and +1's?

For Rennsport IV, the paved area between 3 and 5 was used for corral parking as shown in the pics below from the 2011 event. The vendor village is to the right in the first pic.

No guarantees as to what they will do this time, but I suspect the paved area will be used again, as well as the packed dirt area to the left in both pics. We'll see. Both are infinitely better than the loose dirt public hillside parking.

Good point, and a good reason to be there on Friday. Get the shopping done early, stuff back to the car, no hassles for the rest of the weekend!

I'm in with a +2! It will be nice and refreshing after being out in the sun all day.

As for parking, we're taking the Cayenne GTS, or our Mini, so parking in the dirt is fine with us. We did it last time on the hill, and it was more low mowed dry grass, so dust wasn't that bad. We are just doing the one day, Saturday; as I promised my wife and daughter a day at the beach.

Interesting. For every other event at LS (Tudor series, reunion, etc,) that is vendor row. Guess it depends on how many vendors. Since the event is 4 weeks after the Reunion it is possible the vendor tents from that event will remain up...

With the CA drought everything will be dirt...and VERY dry and dusty.
