I've found that in general, whatever color Porsche releases a new car in for their advertising/marketing is the best color.
991gt3? White
Boxster spyder? White
Cayman GTS? Carmine red
There's a reason they pick these colors to show off the car.

White looks good! Change over from Aqua Blue.

Looking at pictures I definitely second guess my choice, but then I walk out and look at the car and in white it just looks the business. The pictures do not do it justice and although I love the 991 in black it hides all the best parts of the car. Like you said to each his own but do try and see the colors in person. The white really is fantastic in the flesh!

... GT Silver is way better
I ordered white because wife says silver is, hmmm, how can I say, old fashion .

White is 911CUP production, see 50 lined up new all the way back to the 70's will make you see white.

996RS only came in white, main color 997.2RS was white, promo posters 997.1 GT3 was white. 80% of the 4.0s are white.

All my GT3's were white.

TEHO regarding color choice....very personal. For me, the fact that a certain color is the most popular is a great reason to get something different. If I were actually going to put decals on my GT3 I would have considered white so as to have a nice blank canvas, but otherwise.....

(plus red is faster)

Porsche thinks it's faster.
White is the only correct color for a CUP car wannabe.

it is well documented that white is the fastest color.
red is nice
blue is trendy
green is horny
black is classy
silver is pavement
agate is gravel
all very nice color
but white is FAST.
that's all that matters

No they don't, no it isn't. Cup cars start out Slow White (get it?) and then they put numbers, colors and stripes on the car. Why? For SPEED. Everybody knows that (well, not you guys apparently).

And there you have it. Wannabe. But it isn't, so stop trying to look like it!

I rest my case.

So green.
What about orange.

Still love .1 green and orange.
Silver looks awesome but so many regular 911's are silver grey.

I like purple too.

orange is only fast in october due the natural pumpkin power commonly associated with halloween.

purple, depends. if it's barney purple then it's cute and fire breathing fast. if it's eggplant pruple then splat....

damn, where do i come up with all this BS.

Wrong wrong wrong.
Reds terrible. Tickets and Porsche even needs to prime it red to make it stick. Reds heavier so slower. White is less weight is faster also when you start stripping in white you don't see the overspray and stuff.
Everyone knows this Mike.

It's why my 4.0 had white wheels. Lighter faster.

Many CUP parts find their way to GT3's might as well have it in the correct color.

Unless they start putting at least SOME race parts in the RS or start racing what they sell should ban white even as PTS (they tried with 997.1RS) and I'm going orange green or purple.

I find White very easy to look after ,,,,,I just like the clean simplicity of the color and all 911,s due to their well rounded curves just look stunning in white.............

Peter, Peter, Peter.....they prime all the cars. And....oh well you'll never be convinced. Go purple. Just not another white car. (not that I don't like white)
