Since we are off topic. Got my first flat. Rear right. 650.00 just for the tire. Thank goodness for tire insurance.

Is that 4,000 for a full wheel set or per wheel?

Not sure if that figure is correct but no way a set of 4 only costs $4K....one of the wheels on my GTR was $1500 and I gotta assume these are more.....

I got the 5 year plan. It covers all flats, cuts ,dented rims, damaged rims what ever it is , they will replace it. It was 2400.00? but I figured in 5 years if I get a few flats or hit a really big pot hole, I'll break even. My 6M in three years went thru 8 tires and 1 rim. So I know its a must for this car.
The trick is, if the tread wear is over a certain amount, they will not cover it.

At what point does a tire become uninsurable? Does the insurance cover new tires or just the original tires? So if you replace your tires at 3 years, is the new set covered for the remaining two years?

Lodi, yes it covers your new replacements too. Basically what ever is on your car for 5 years. If you get a flat, I believe there is a chart which states the threshold of coverage.
btw...rim too.
