Don't forget that demand for GT3 is prob significantly less than demand for say a cayman.

So the dealers bid up the "lemons" at the auction while knowing this? Makes no sense.

Oh no...we're not going to get into the making sense part again are we? There is more power to having a physical unit on the showroom that you can sell today or in the next 4 months than taking a deposit for potential profit you can't cash until feb delivery that someone might back out of....and if nothing else you can use it as a demo to take deposits on 2015. Also even if they sell them for what they bought these "buybacks" for there are 10 different ways for a dealer to still make money!

You bet my 2015 I just ordered is worth $50k less before I even see it.
Keep in mind no more gt3 production after December. Confirmed with COO of PNA. That is why I said about 600 in total for US and someone thinks that's a lot!!

Aw, come on guys, nothing new going on here with production numbers. With every generation of GT3 there are about 700/yr in the US and 1100-1400/yr worldwide of street GT3s and similar numbers of GT3RSs.
There were fewer 6.2GT3RSs than 6.2GT3s and a few more 7.2GT3s than 7.2GT3RSs. We are looking at similar numbers of both from everything I've heard. Same old, same old.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but GT3Cup numbers have been in low 200's delivered to the US throughout their generations, as well. No substantive changes in volume on the horizon.
