Default My new 2015 GT3 build.

As posted in my introductory thread, I've recently spec'd out a new GT3. Build is locked, and delivery is set for some time in November, though I was hoping to have it built and delivered after the bulk of winter had passed.

The car essentially will serve as my daily driver, so no bucket seats. Also, I live in Michigan and the seat heating option is quite necessary. Amazingly I agonized over whether to choose the steering wheel in leather (kept alcantara), as well as to include/not include a few other options. Ideally I would have preferred a dark grey-blue color, but do like the Agate grey as a sort of stealthy color.

Here's the build... Of course, I'll post pics soon after it arrives.

Congrats. Great build, pretty much like how I've done it. I took over someone's car, had to settle whatever it had, nonetheless it is a great car no matter how you build it.

Looks great! One thing my dealer urged me to consider was adding in the mobile phone option so I can connect my phone via Bluetooth. Not sure how clear the phone will be on the speaker given the engine noise, but might be worth considering if this will be a DD.

Thanks. I'm certain that Bluetooth connection is standard through the speakers, and the other options essentially only add either car antenna connectivity or phone with car antenna. It's unnecessarily confusing on the configurator.

From the "standard features" list for the GT3 on the Porsche Web Site...

"Bluetooth® hands-free mobile phone interface"

+1. You are correct. It's so difficult to sort out the fact from fiction in this forum recently....

The confusion with bucket seats and which ones people are talking about has reached comedy levels

I think the 2014 models had an issue where you had to check off a mobile phone prep option that led to a lot of issues with customers when they got their car (a few threads on that).

I guess porsche corrected this for 2015 models.

You guys saved me close to $300 - thanks!

Excellent.

I know on my 2014 Cayenne that there isn't a phone prep option on the car, but that it's still Bluetooth capable through the speakers.

So the consensus is, Bluetooth mobile phone connectivity is standard on the PCM ?

After seeing 1pvr and orthojoe's comments, I dug a bit deper.

On Porsche's website, http://www.porsche.com/usa/models/91...turesandspecs/, under Interior/Communication, it lists Bluetooth as standard per 1pvr's comment (don't know how this was represented for MY2014 models where people had to specify Mobile Phone Prep to get bluetooth)

The following post also mentions the same (my fault for confusion on missing this post): https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/...th-module.html

If you have doubts and this is an essential option for your car, I would ask your dealer to confirm, as it sounded like a PITA for people with MY2014 cars to have this retroactively installed.

I asked my dealer and I was told that bluetooth was standard on the car and no phone prep option was needed.

I just finalized my 2015 GT3 which I had a December production slot. The dealer sent me the production schedule. My order closes on 10/31, i.e. no changes, exits production on 11/21 and should be at the dealer on 1/15/2015.

Looks like Porsche really wants to end production of the GT3 as soon as possible.

Anyone else care to share the production schedule they have?
