Default Extra warranty certificate?

Guys, has anyone with replaced engine received a piece of paper confirming one year extra warranty? I only saw it mentioned in the papers I signed when I agreed not to return the car and receive compensation. I have not received an additional warranty certificate of any sort.

Now then my car was back in service, they printed out bill of work, and it lists January 2018 as end of warranty, which means 4 years of warranty only. Should I be worried?

silverrules - can you send PM me a scan? or email to max at grammarly dot com? So that I'd know what to demand from Ian and/or my dealer.

Max, I know you have dealt with Sonnen. Andrew knows exactly what needs to be provided with regard to the warranty extension; he obtained the document, had it signed as required, and FedEx'd it to me along with the engine certificate and stickers.

I'm on the same boat. My dealer lost all the paperwork that arrived with my car. The service techs left it on passenger seat when car was complete with the AE11 checklist. By the time I took delivery the next day? It was gone.

It's been a 4 week affair so far--speaking with my dealer and with Ian. I've been told I "should" have the paperwork this week or next...

I have the checklist and certificate, and the stickers were applied, but I have no warranty paper of any kind. I'll call the dealer tomorrow. Thanks for suggestions!

I have to believe your VIN is now assigned to the engine replacement and its new number so the 5 year warranty will always be assigned to it. I agree; you need to also get this in writing; but I do not believe, legally, they will be able to get away with denying the year extension in the future

According to an email I received from Ian Moon, the dealer should follow the AE11 Campaign "Post Prep" instructions which tell him how to print out the extended warranty certificate. I had to show that email to my dealer who then figured out how to print the document. A dealer representative and I then both signed the document. My car was a CAT B car, so the extended warranty shows as starting 4 years after I took delivery and ending a year after that or 100,000 miles whichever comes first.

I believe this is correct. When I actually paid for the car and they do the sell on extended warranty, they showed me a print out detailing the warranty as 5 years/100,000 miles. It is associated with your car by VIN, just like any other warranty.

That's what I was told by Ian as well so at least there is some consistency on that score. I assume my service manager printed out the document and had it signed by management. Interestingly, they didn't ask me to sign.....

I think Porsche is getting faster at getting things out. I received all my compensation info and warranty in less than 5 days of taking delivery. I also received my check for the memory seats at the same time.
