my situation exactly, have been told I have a spot, $ paid for deposit, but who knows...too much of a gamble...so accepting the depreciation stupid tax that might occur at trade-in after 12 months or less, but if no RS, then wont look so stupid...

I thinks that's the best plan. If the RS comes through, the 6 will go, otherwise it just wasn't meant to be this time around....and I'll slum it with the 6...which is still loads of fun to drive.

Was at my dealer yesterday. Each dealer can see how many 2015 orders have been placed by dealer. These are confirmed orders not allocations. As of yesterday for the US there were 67 confirmed 2015 orders. This does include those pushed from 2014 to 2015.

Overall, not a lot.

He confirmed they have been told December is the last production month for the GT3.

One other thing I was told. He has heard of course may not be a fact, Porsche is planning a special production car with a run of 25 cars. Ferrari just announced a special run of 10 cars only for the US at $3million per and all sold.

We discussed this along with RS, if they don't produce enough of these cars to meet the 918 customers demand as they are contracted to get an opportunity to purchase all new production cars look out for a 918 class action against Porsche!!!

Same RS situation for me. I took my Dec GT3 build with the dealer's written promise I can cancel and get the RS before mine ships even if order has been locked. If I don't have RS info by Jan., I'll take delivery of the GT3 and trade it. Not risking no GT3 for a speculative RS build.

this is consistent with the number my dealer pulled when I asked him statistics on stat... posted that thread a bit earlier in the week... 67 total 2015 orders to-date... that was before all the recent allocations came through

67 as of yesterday of 2015 orders? So maybe 80 or 90 units total for MY 2015 for the US? I am basing my estimate on the assumption that all 2015 allocations have already been given out, and at least 80% of those have been "ordered" in the system and contributes the number 67? What do you guys think?

I think if you want a GT3 you out to get an allocation now. RS's are supposed to be scarce. If there not you won't lose much on the GT3.

You could also lose your RS allocation.

I bet we see some very loaded GT3's come in that are dealer ordered.

The 67 number of 2015 as indicated are confirmed ordered cars.

Assume Champion had 15 gt3 allocations and all have been taken. Assume the 15 customers are still determining options etc and have not made selections to be input into the Porsche management system, none of the 15 would be in the 67 number. Just wanted to clarify.

The VIP Program actually deals with this by going down the customer list giving priority to the earliest orders. At least that's how I remember it as it's been a while since I read it.

How many of the original 785 2014 cars were US cars?

I heard Champion got 7 or 8 not 15. Just ask your General Manager if you have a close relationship because they can see others' allocation

If 785 was world wide and shipping to the ROW was at least several months prior to US shipment, I am guessing 200 to 300 maximum? Who has the real answer?
