Saw a jet black cayman gts yeaterday and it looked fantastic. Definitely has a blue hue to it, and with black headlights and wheels looks sinister while still letting the black plastic parts pop against the paint. I may change my mind and spec this color.. Maintenance be damned!

Me too! Same color & dates. Doesn't quite seem real yet, maybe after I get through October. Their are several great colors that pull at my heart strings, but all Black, in person, is always the one I want to take home.
Just saw a 2015 C4S in Jet Black. It definitely has some dark blue/purple flake in it. You can really only tell when you are within a foot or two of it. I'd like to see basalt and jet beside each other. I hope this picture shows it a bit.

I saw jet and basalt next to each other. Basalt looked grey, same way jet looks blue... Very very subtly.
