The pics look great. Not to be a stick in the mud but for me,when I saw it in person, it did not have the bold presence it does in pics. Kind of anemic and I am a huge fan of blue. Did not order it for that reason.

I only say this because I strongly recommend you see it in person before ordering.

+1, on both counts.... i.e. not trying to criticize or rain on anyones parade, just trying to help... AND also, I went to see the color in person because I really wanted to like it... best way I can describe is that when it is absolutely clean and carnuba waxed and sitting in the sun, it looks like these pictures...but when it is not, is a little dirty, or sitting in the shade, or not as bright of sun, its a much more subtle look than what is presented here... to each their own of course...

^+3 I have to agree with the opinions above. It definitely is not 'estoril blue' a fav BMW color, which is what it looks like in the configurator. In person it has a more teal quality which makes it more of a cool color rather than estoril which is a warmer color with Violet undertone.

My RS5 was Sepang Blue which was great. In direct sunlight when clean, the Sapphire and Sepang look very similar. But add any shade or dirt, the Sepang was much better; more depth is how I refer to it.

That said, I ordered Sapphire as I did not want to wait for Custom color. Sapphire looks great.

Needs red seat belts to go with it. Every color looses something when dirty, come on...

For some reason the blue doesn't look as good on base models. I'm not sure why. But IMO it looks great on the GT3 and turbo.

I've seen it in real life, and it just doesn't look anything like in this pictures to me. Here it's powerful and show-car like, in real life it looked like ford Taurus/papa smurf blue

LOL, seeing as how I live in NorCal, probably the latter. Please take my comment in the context of an opinion-sharing forum, nothing here except banter... If your car is this color I'm sure it's beautiful... I wouldn't kick Adriana Lima out of bed, even though I prefer Giselle
