Default OMG All These GT3's For Sale

So there have been numerous threads citing scads of GT3s for sale at dealers at MSRP. The main reason for this is b/c when a GT3 (or any other car) hits the dealer, before it is actually sold (as in title transferred and cash in the bank), it goes on as active inventory.

My car hit the system when I was traveling, and it remained 'available' for 5 working days.

Dealer got assaulted with phone calls from peeps wanting my car. I texted the dealership to tell them to 'f-off'. Some were angry that it really wasn't for sale.

Anyway, a bit of insight to the seemingly vast numbers of GT3's available.

From what I was told by my dealer is that each dealer can configure their Porsche website to show all cars that are assigned to them whether sold or not. A lot of dealers select to display the customer (sold) cars as it could attract new enquiries. My dealer only displays cars that are unsold and are inventory.

Yes. I think the default is show on website all vehicles as they hit inventory. The dealer can override but not sure how that works in terms of what inventory gets uploaded.

As Nizer says allocations can be had. But standing inventory galore? Pls.

Actually, when I was calling around Norcal, two dealers offered me cars that were ordered but not picked up (for variety of reasons). One GT Silver and one racing yellow, both colors I didn't want so I declined. I bet these were sold "privately" without officially listing them

I did on the GT Silver. Racing Yellow I was just told over the weekend, and no info was provided besides it was yellow. It sounded kinda shady to me so didn't want to publicize without full info.

Hello everyone I am new to the thread. My name is Kiwi. I also found my allocation by calling around. Live in Los Angeles and found it in the east coast at sticker. It's a November delivery I just locked on Aug 29.
Anyways I just received a call from Porsche of Newport Beach they had a cancelation for a black black car with a 161k sticker if anyone is interested ask for twee and tell her kiwi recommended you.

Oftentimes cars are listed in dealer inventory when they're only in transit.
