Wow, that's very very interesting.

I need more info about them. I am short (5'6") and need height adjustment. The 997 style buckets did not work for me. If these are really 918 style seats with electric height adjustment for the driver I'll go for them.

If you're going to track the car, one advantage of sitting lower is greater head clearance to the roof if the car rolls. And sitting lower generally gives better feel for what the car is doing too.

I agree completely. Always sit as low as possible, and still see the track. You can feel what the car is doing in your hips better.

I bet you both are tall! I sit low with my helmet on and all I see is the crest on the steering wheel...........

Just conjecture here, but maybe they are ending PTS cars and focusing only on standard options so they can build more. pure guess. my dealer told me yday they are due to get more slots shortly, which wouldnt make sense if they are ending production Feb 2015. plus they're adding more options (i.e bucket seats) to the configurator so again weird if they plan on stopping production end of this year.

I agree. Why bother to add the buckets now? But why approve and then cancel my PTS? I think they did this to a couple other rennlist posters here. Also seemed to me that PCNA and PAG were not on the same page.

no, in fact a lot of cup drivers are doing it. expensive $15000 i think. no one takes the paddle off cup and go to sequential stick.

But - now you will have a dilemma - Cayman GT4 or 911 GTS????

There is an *** for every seat so Porsche will sell them and we, as consumers, will have choices.
no brainer, caygt4 and 991gt3

I think it's huge that track rat with Mooty's experience driving a dozen RSs, recognizes the engaging potential of the 991 GT3.

I'm in the same boat, or bucket.

The pdk on the 991GT3 is righteous. Drove one for the first time today.
