The option code P11 is the same as the option code for the 918 lightweight bucket seats.
The 918 configurator says the following about those seats:

they aren't $8k, they are $4k over the stock seats, and $2k over the 18-way seats. without leather they are $4700, and it looks like they are still the same leather with platinum stitching.
$4k is a lot of money... but $8k would have been nuts...
how many like me who have an upcoming build are NOT going to spec these... there will be a relative handful of cars with this option, and these are bound to be desirable cars.
do they recline at all?

$4000 for seat is dirty cheap.
have you seen recaro prices lately?
even at 8000 just for the seat without leather it would still be a no brainer cheap. order it, and trade with members with regular seat.they will flip backwards, pay you and thank you profuesely

Sorry for posting questions which had been answered, we all jumped at same time.
So from what the 918 description looks like, they will have manual height adjust for driver, but no recline at all. That's no joke! I hope that's the "perfect" Driving position cause there Aint no changing it.
Very very very excited ab this.. Now someone mentioned that 918 steering wheel.. Stop teasing me with wishful thinking

Looks like I'll have a set of 997 GT2 Alcantara Sport Buckets for sale as soon as I confirm the option gets populated on my build.

I do not believe these are identical to the 918 seats. From the UK configurator:
"Lightweight racing seats with folding backrest, integrated thorax airbag and manual fore/aft adjustment. Seat shell made from glass-/carbon-fibre reinforced plastic with carbon-weave finish, seat in Black leather with seat centre in Alcantara Black, headrest with "GT3" logo in Platinum Grey. Note: child seats must not be used with the sports bucket seats."

Interesting, the picture on the UK configurator is different then the US and they have different names "Sports Bucket Seats" in the UK and "Lightweight Bucket Seats" in the US. The US ones look like the 918 "Lightweight Bucket Seats". All of this was news to my sales guy so I'm officially guessing. Not sure which way I'm going, but I have to decide this week. Not being able to fold it forward would bug me.
For what it's worth, here is the description from the 918 configurator.:

They look like 918 seats to me. I've been waiting for this option and had assumed they wouldn't be available. I will try to get these added to my order which locks 10/7. I'll gladly give up the heated seats with leather seat backs.

I have the GT2 buckets in my Boxster Spyder and I was always okay with the seat position and lack of adjustment, except for the lack of height adjustment. I had a bracket installed that raised the seat but my seatbelt buckle never fit properly through the opening. I have gotten used to it but it's not something I care to repeat.
