Letter to PCNA/Donation to Charity

You are absolutely right in all counts, including the socialism part. I do maintain then that buying a GT3 costs much more, whether the money goes to Porsche or the local government. If Porsche is willing to take the "external costs" of the buyer into consideration when giving a compensation, then more credit to them.

Thanks guys. I know that Porsche isn't the company it once was but, overall, they still make some of the best cars on the road for driving enthusiasts. Volumes will inevitably increase but that should not be to the detriment of its customers.
Clocked has reported that PCNA will proactively refund the cost of the Adaptive Sports Seats due to the lack of the memory function. That's great news and more in keeping with the approach we expect of Porsche. I bought these seats as well and, since there's virtually an infinite number of configurations for these seats, it's also virtually impossible to return them to the original position if they're adjusted. The lack of memory is a bizarre omission by Porsche.
In light of this, I'm hopeful PCNA will take the same proactive approach with respect to the lack of Bluetooth telephone connectivity. Once again, it's odd that Porsche offers Bluetooth connectivity on the 991 GT3 but it will only allow you to play music if you didn't order the phone module.

I have the telephone module and use either RSAP or HFP to connect to my Android device (SGS3) and can play music via A2DP in either of those modes or via USB as an MTP client. That said, using MTP it only plays media that is stored on the internal memory of the SGS3 and not the micro-SD card; I only have the Samsung demo song on the internal memory, as I store all of my music on the SD card, so MTP isn't much use for me.

Very commendable for everything you have done Sunil. Sorry I didn't get back to your email. Unfortunately I just saw it today. Work I have recently done has resulted in a painful amount of email, and that one, along with many others slipped by.

I had the phone module so didn't experience this myself however I'm told that some others who didn't order the phone module were led to believe that the Bluetooth would give telephone connectivity when in reality it only allows you to play your music. Others RLers can probably explain in more detail.

The Mobile Phone Preparation wasn't a $0 option in Australia, so we had to pay for one of the phone options to get BT connectivity of any sort regardless

"Category A customers have faced a number of issues such as the Bluetooth connection, lack of memory for the Adaptive Sports Seats, 'compensation' levels, cars being returned scuffed etc ... Needless to say, Category B and C customers are likely to face the same issues unless something is done about it."
The fact that one of the recipients 'opened' his email 131 times in the space of a few days suggests that he forwarded the email to his dealer and/or PCNA. We saw a similar trend when we emailed the dealers directly. Either way the timing would suggest that the forwarded mailshot may have had a positive effect but the reality is that we will never know. I've spoken with Clocked and regardless of how it happened, PCNA made it very clear to him that they were going to act proactively in refunding everyone who bought the Adaptive Sports Seats. Ultimately, the more ammunition PCNA is given by its customers, the more likely positive action will be approved by PAG. PCNA needs its customers' feedback to get PAG on board.
Ahh, ok, now I know what you're talking about. I also misinterpreted your message as saying that phone worked via BT but music didn't.
